Kirsten Alene lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, Cameron Pierce, a dog named Tristan and a cat named Hoeru. She is the author of Unicorn Battle Squad (2012), the novella, Love in the Time of Dinosaurs (2010), Chiaroscuro (2009), a poetry chapbook, and several stories and poems currently circulating the worldwide web. Some of her work can be found in Amazing Stories of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, The Magazine of Bizarro Fiction, Bust Down the Door and Eat All the Chickens, Christmas on Crack, and some other exciting places on the internet such as New Dead Families, Smalldoggies Magazine, Rivets, and The Battered Suitcase. She is also the editor of the webzine Unicorn Knife Fight which publishes short stories and poetry every so often for your enjoyment.
